Founded on April 1, 1980 by Ron and Karen Zemens as a sole proprietorship service company specializing in landscaping, Ron-Kare was quickly on its way to establishing itself as one of metro Detroit's finest landscape service companies.  Honesty, hard work, and keeping things simple were, and still are, the cornerstones of the company's philosophy.

Incorporating the business in 1985, Ron-Kare was able to expand and remain at the forefront of providing customers with easy to maintain landscapes.  Today, thirty (30) prosperous years later, Ron-Kare is still one of the top five (5) of the largest metro Detroit landscape service providers.

The company has an extensive educational background.  Besides Ron having a Master Degree from Central Michigan University and being a state certified pesticide trainer, he and Karen are both certified Master Gardeners.  All employees of Ron-Kare are either registered or certified by the Michigan Department of Agriculture in Lawn & Plant Care.  Testing and attending agricultural seminars are an ongoing process at Ron-Kare.

"For a landscape that GROWS" has been the hallmark of Ron-Kare's success, and continues to be in the lawn care, tree & bush care, perimeter pest spraying and other services that we offer," says Ron. "Keeping up with the newest chemicals, addressing environmental issues, and being sensitive to property owners concerns (our customers and adjoining neighbors), is really a very important reality we have to consider each and every day."  Ron continues by explaining, "Another feature that sets us apart from others in the industry and what customers appreciate is that our service include all necessary control products (such as fungus, insect and weed control) - on an as needed basis" - there is a charge for preventative insecticides and fungicides.

In the future, Ron-Kare will continue to offer top quality landscape services at metro Detroit's most competitive prices.  Our area of work has been expanded to include 26 Mile Road to the north, Dequinder Road to the west, Grosse Pointe Park to the south, and Lake St. Clair to the east.
